{"id":54549,"date":"2026-10-28T10:18:14","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T09:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cybus.io\/?p=54549"},"modified":"2026-10-28T10:18:19","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T09:18:19","slug":"cybus-connectware-release-2-7-0-more-of-your-shop-floor-available-less-load-on-your-machines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cybus.io\/en\/cybus-connectware-release-2-7-0-more-of-your-shop-floor-available-less-load-on-your-machines\/","title":{"rendered":"Cybus Connectware Release 2.7.0: More of your shop floor available, less load on your machines"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-nb-onecol ce ce-onecol\"><div class=\"container\"><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col\">\n\n<h2 id=\"h-tldr\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>TLDR.:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-arrow-list\">\n<li><strong>Two new connectors: CSV files and tightening controllers<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A UI that adapts to the screen you use on the shop floor<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>More data points without more requests to your machines<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Keep the database under your own rules<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-csv-file-and-open-protocol-connectors\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>CSV File and Open Protocol connectors<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two more kinds of data are now in reach:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-arrow-list\">\n<li>CSV files, wherever they sit: a folder on the Connectware host, or a remote server over FTP or SFTP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tightening results, read straight from the controller: target torque, actual torque, angle, pass or fail, for every bolt driven.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Atlas Copco published Open Protocol as an open specification, and tightening controllers from other vendors speak it too. So one connector reaches Atlas Copco Power Focus and PowerMACS, Bosch Rexroth and Desoutter. Your bolt-level traceability record now sits with the rest of your production data, where the systems that need it can reach it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-a-ui-that-adapts-to-the-screen-you-are-using\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>A UI that adapts to the screen you are using<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The UI now works on mobile devices as well as the desktop, so you can check a service from the shop floor. OPC UA subscriptions are evaluated per node, so the rest of a subscription keeps delivering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-bring-your-own-postgresql\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Bring your own PostgreSQL<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Connectware can also run against your own PostgreSQL, up to version 18, so the database falls under your own backup and monitoring rules. The bundled database stays the default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-when-is-2-7-0-available\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong><strong>When is 2.7.0 available?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cybus.io\/en\/product\/cybus-connectware\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Connectware<\/a> 2.7.0 is available since October 20, 2026.
