100x performance, maximum resilience and a software architecture for the digital factory that never stops.
Hamburg, October 14, 2025 – Cybus, the leading provider of industrial data infrastructure, today introduced Cybus Connectware 2.0, the solution to Industry 4.0’s biggest hurdle: the failure of promising digitalization projects during enterprise-wide scaling. The new software architecture guarantees uptime, overcomes scaling barriers and secures global rollouts – from the first use case to worldwide deployment. Delivering a proven 100-fold performance increase over the previous version, Cybus Connectware 2.0 resiliently processes over 1 billion messages per hour and enables manufacturers to realize their most ambitious digitalization goals safely and without operational risk.
Many digital transformation projects in the manufacturing industry start with a successful pilot stage but fail during the company-wide rollout. The reasons often lie in the underlying infrastructure. Monolithic legacy systems like MES or SCADA are not designed for today’s data volumes and required agility. They lead to data silos, a lack of interoperability and become unstable under high load – an unacceptable production-critical risk for ongoing operations.
Peter Sorowka, CEO Cybus
At the heart of Cybus Connectware 2.0 is a modern, self-healing platform architecture that eliminates single points of failure and creates a new dimension of resilience. If a single service fails – such as a machine connection – the overall system continues to run stably while the affected component recovers autonomously. These self-healing mechanisms, proven in cloud systems, reduce troubleshooting time from weeks to hours and guarantee an unprecedented level of operational reliability at an enterprise scale.
„Many ambitious Industry 4.0 projects fail not because of the vision but because of the scaling,“, says Peter Sorowka, CEO of Cybus. „Our job is to eliminate the technological risk and create the central nervous system for the autonomous, data-driven factory of the future. With Cybus Connectware 2.0, our customers can drive their digital transformation forward boldly and securely.“
Performance and Scaling Without Risk: The architecture is designed for extreme data loads and secures the transition from a successful pilot to an enterprise-wide implementation. Performance benchmarks prove this: Connectware stably processes over 1 billion messages per hour, manages 3 million live data points and orchestrates more than 2,000 distributed services.
Centralized Control, Global Standards: Thanks to modern IT methods like “Infrastructure as Code” (IaC), the entire data infrastructure across all locations can be managed like software. This enables standardized, automated and error-free rolloutsworldwide and ensures complete auditability for compliance requirements.
The Foundation for the AI-Powered Factory: Cybus Connectware 2.0 is the technological basis for a Unified Namespace (UNS) – the central “single source of truth” for all production data. This dramatically accelerates the introduction of sophisticated industrial AI applications with enterprise-wide analytics and future-proofs the IT/OT infrastructure.
Jasmin Skenderi, CTO of Cybus, adds: „We tested Cybus Connectware 2.0 under the toughest conditions: millions of data points distributed across multiple plants. The result is stability and controllability on a level that creates real business value.“
Cybus Connectware 2.0 is available now. Existing customers will receive migration guides and dedicated support for a plannable, low-risk transition. All details are described in the official upgrade documentation.
