QA Engineer (all genders)

We are explorers, pioneers and creators – are you too?

With our team of over 20 people, we are no longer a start-up, because we consist of IoT experts, experienced programmers and former CEOs of global corporations and, of course, young savages who are changing the world with us. Since 2015, we at Cybus have been giving the terms Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT a face.
Our IIoT Edge Application Platform collects, unifies and delivers data on-premises: security and independence is our top priority. That’s why our customers control themselves which data they pass on to their own or a third-party software stack. Through predictive maintenance, MES integration or even digital twins and zero downtime, the machine data provided will lead our customers to Industry 4.0 and new business models such as smart services.

Your role

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer (all genders) to join our QA team, to collaboratively establish and constantly improve the test processes for the Industrial IoT software, as well as test methods and regular reviews.

  • Deriving and executing test plans from new features, together with everyone in the QA team and also the relevant members of the development team
  • Following all development effort in JIRA for confirmation testing of change for a release train arriving weekly (product release once a week).
  • Taking part in customer meetings to record useful information for building up twin infrastructures for customer use cases
  • Maintaining QA source code, infrastructure, simulators/emulators and the device farm
  • Managing reporting for QA results, test evolution and protocol/feature coverage reports for Cybus products.
  • Writing guidelines for developers, testers and integrators how to use QA tools and applying testing principles.
  • Using general technical and non-technical communication and negotiation skills in englisch (and ideally german)

Bonus points for:

  • Plus (optional): Familiar with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Plus (optional): Knowing tools like toxiproxy, jmeter, cypress, prometheus, apm tools

The things we do to make you happy:

  • With us you only meet people who really want to make a difference. Fast speed and flexibility shouldn’t make you sweat – our goals are too big for slow walkers.
  • Further education and training – How does it work differently? We are in a new and unknown market, “discovering new things” is a passion for us.
  • Remote work? We can do that too. Depending on the situation and your location, we still have a few days of analogue work with colleagues.
  • If you work a lot, you also need to relax and take time for yourself. We allow ourselves 30 days’ annual leave for this purpose.
  • We are an IT company. The usual goodies like fruit, excellent coffee and fun team events are a matter of course.
  • Your personal work-life balance is important to us: we expect your full commitment in the agreed working hours, but also respect your personal free time and want to work sustainably with our strengths.
