FOCAS is the standard protocol for collecting data from FANUC CNC machines. It represents a collection of library files (dll) which can be embedded into software applications.
The FANUC FOCAS libraries provide access to the information stored inside a CNC machine (e.g. status data) and communication is established using Ethernet or High Speed Serial Bus (HSSB).
The Cybus Connectware makes it possible to easily interact with CNC machines via the Fanuc communication protocol. This protocol implementation offers the opportunity to collect different data from Fanuc CNC machines. It also provides the user with the ability to create endpoints for reading and subscribe for changes on the data provided by them.
With Cybus Connectware, data from Fanuc CNC Controllers can be made available via MQTT in JSON Format or on the built-in OPC UA Server, normalized or enriched with meta data and forwarded to IT systems like databases, SCADA systems, dashboards, data lakes or IoT Platforms like Azure or AWS.
