Hamburg/Neckarsulm, January 20, 2025 – Europe’s industry is facing growing challenges: Global competitive pressure, fragile supply chains, and new regulatory requirements are increasing the need to make production more resilient, efficient, and transparent. At the same time, there is a growing demand for the secure management of sensitive manufacturing and company data – preferably on European infrastructures.
That’s why cloud provider STACKIT and industrial data infrastructure specialist Cybus have teamed up. They’re working together to help companies build secure, independent, and scalable smart factory solutions – from machines to business apps and back again.
The partnership enables industrial companies to achieve consistent, secure data flows between the shop floor and business systems. The basis for this is a data infrastructure that supports modern cloud architectures as well as highly secure on-premise environments.
“With Cybus, we are gaining an experienced partner for industrial connectivity and data integration,” explains Bernie Wagner, CEO of STACKIT and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Schwarz Digits. “The combination of the sovereign STACKIT cloud infrastructure and the Cybus Connectware data foundation enables customers to use production data securely, scalably, and independently of non-European hyperscalers.”
With Cybus Connectware, Cybus offers software specially developed for industrial environments that standardizes the collection and processing of machine and process data and makes it available for any application. Together with STACKIT, architecture models are created for a wide range of industrial scenarios:

Through the partnership, a strong ecosystem for data-driven manufacturing in Europe is created. Industrial companies gain a powerful, trusted, and scalable foundation to unlock efficiency potential, drive innovation, and respond quickly to new market requirements.
“Only with a reliable data infrastructure can industrial companies shape their digital future with confidence,” emphasizes Peter Sorowka, CEO of Cybus. “Together with STACKIT, we are creating a strong, purely European foundation that enables our customers to implement their smart factory strategies step by step and with the highest level of security.”
The software company Cybus specializes in data integration for large production environments. The software solution Connectware is specifically developed for enterprise companies that want to efficiently integrate complex manufacturing environments and reliably manage data flows. The solution offers efficient integration and production-critical reliability through highly available and low-latency data streams. It supports a scalable and unified architecture across multiple factory sites. With Cybus, globally active companies such as Miele, Liebherr and KRONE are improving the efficiency and sustainability of their production processes.
STACKIT is the cloud provider of Schwarz Digits.
