  • Effective July 1, 2026, Stefan Schwab will become Co-CEO of Cybus GmbH, leading the company alongside Co-Founder and Co-CEO Peter Sorowka.
  • Schwab brings over 20 years of experience building and scaling international industrial technology businesses at Siemens AG.

Hamburg, July 1, 2026 — Cybus, a Hamburg-based provider of industrial data infrastructure for AI-driven manufacturing, appointed Stefan Schwab as co-CEO effective July 1, 2026. He will lead the company alongside co-founder and current co-CEO Peter Sorowka. Under the new dual leadership structure, Sorowka will continue to oversee technology, products and vision, and Schwab will focus on commercial scaling and growth.

Schwab spent over 20 years at Siemens AG, where he managed businesses throughout the corporate lifecycle, including turnarounds, scaling up, transformations and greenfield projects. He led units with a wide variety of business models – including hardware, project-based, SaaS and partner-based – from early-stage IoT businesses to established operations with over $100 million in revenue, always with the goal of generating recurring, scalable revenue. While building diverse, international teams in the U.S., Europe, APAC and India, he has earned a reputation for combining entrepreneurial agility with operational discipline.

“Stefan Schwab brings exactly what our next chapter requires: the discipline to scale an enterprise business and the international experience to lead it,” says Peter Sorowka, Cybus’s co-CEO and co-founder. “We were immediately on the same page regarding our vision and values – it’s been a complementary partnership from day one.”

For Stefan Schwab, the deciding factors in his decision to join Cybus were the product, the team and discussions with customers and investors. “The trust that manufacturers place in Connectware convinced me that Cybus will be the driving force behind preparing factories in Europe and beyond for the digital transformation,” said Schwab. “Software is migrating from the cloud to the shop floor in the form of autonomous AI agents and physical AI. As machines make decisions and act independently, the underlying data layer becomes a non-negotiable prerequisite – reliable, standardized and in real time, with clear governance. That’s exactly where I see Cybus’s strength.”

Connectware, Cybus’s industrial data infrastructure solution, is used by some of the world’s most demanding manufacturers, including Porsche, Claas and Blum.
