In a nutshell: Cybus’ Industrial IoT software product Connectware is an on-premise solution that provides a communication layer enabling our customers in the manufacturing industry to connect their machines and make smart factories a reality.

About the role

Position and tasks

Mission: As an SDR, you’ll generate and qualify leads for our Enterprise AE team—through a smart combination of inbound qualification and targeted outbound prospecting.

Key objective: Deliver qualified SQLs (Sales Qualified Leads) with complete context on a monthly basis—so the AE team can jump right into the discovery call.

Focus: Quality over quantity. We’re not looking for a cold-calling machine, but rather a curious, well-researched market explorer with a genuine knack for connecting with people.

  • Inbound Lead Qualification: Fast, precise qualification of incoming leads (MQL → SQL) based on ICP criteria—you’re the first human voice of Cybus for potential customers.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Targeted research and personalized outreach to enterprise target accounts via LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email sequences, and phone calls—no generic mass mailings.
  • Pipeline Building for AEs: Scheduling qualified discovery calls for the Account Executive Team with full context (triggering event, pain points, stakeholder map).
  • CRM & Data Quality: Complete, up-to-date documentation of all activities in Salesforce. You are the guardian of clean data—the foundation for everything we do as a data-driven team.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Close coordination with Marketing (campaigns, content, events), CS (expansion leads), and AEs (feedback loop for outreach optimization).

Your profile

Qualifications and skills

  • Prior experience in a sales-oriented or customer-facing role (SDR, Inside Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, or similar)—ideally in the B2B software or tech industry.
  • Initiative & Resilience: You know that not every outreach effort succeeds right away—and you keep going anyway. Rejection motivates you, rather than discouraging you.
  • Strong communication skills: Clear, professional, and to the point in both written and spoken communication—in German (C1/C2) and English (C1/C2).
  • Analytical curiosity: You enjoy researching, quickly grasp business models, and find the right way to start a conversation—not through templates, but through genuine understanding.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: You work seamlessly with AEs, Marketing, and CS and proactively provide feedback—the shared goal is your goal.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with common sales tools, e.g., HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, Industry 4.0, or IIoT (including through studies or internships)
  • Understanding of enterprise sales processes and long B2B sales cycles
  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) or intent data tools
  • Additional languages (French, Spanish, Mandarin)
