Hannover Messe 2026: AI Hype Meets the Missing Data Foundation

Stop integrating. Start operating.

From April 20–24, 2026, at Hannover Messe, one pattern became impossible to ignore: everyone is talking about Industrial AI – but very few are ready to operate it at scale. Across five days at the Cybus booth, the same challenges kept coming up again and again: data that doesn’t flow, systems that don’t connect and AI initiatives that don’t move beyond pilots.

Our message was clear: Stop integrating. Start operating. Because connecting systems is no longer enough. To make Industrial AI work, you need a Data Foundation Layer that turns fragmented data into reliable, scalable operations.

AI isn’t the starting point. The data foundation is.

Industrial AI Needs a Foundation

At Hannover Messe, in an interview with IIoT World Co-founder Lucian Fogoros, our CEO Peter Sorowka outlined three shifts reshaping manufacturing software:

  1. From monolithic systems to modular applications
  2. From cloud adoption to real-time operations
  3. From manual development to AI-generated software

And one key insight: “Data is not the new oil. It’s the blood of the factory.” Without it, Industrial AI remains a promise – not reality.

Live on the Booth: Industrial AI in Action

We moved beyond theory and showed what a Data Foundation Layer looks like

From the Zero-Error Assembly Line with TeamViewer – eliminating manual input and ensuring full traceability – to Industrial AI use cases with real-time Condition and Energy Monitoring, one thing became clear:

Industrial AI doesn’t start with another tool. It starts with data that flows.

Cybus Connectware acts as the Data Foundation Layer that makes this possible.

Masterclass: From “Never Touch a Running System” to Continuous Change

Our masterclass on the Industrial DevOps Mindset addressed a core challenge:

How do you innovate without risking operations?

The answer:

  1. Controlled, continuous change
  2. Shared responsibility across IT and OT
  3. A foundation that supports both stability and flexibility
