What is Ansible?

The open-source software tool enables centralized management and configuration of systems. As the complexity grows with an increasing number of use cases, connected systems and devices, the open-source automation-tool automates these installations and configurations.

How does Ansible work?

As part of an Infrastructure as Code approach, it provides an outline description for devices: These so-called playbooks guide devices through basic system functions that require no further software on the device itself. Cybus maintains an Ansible Collection of rules and definitions to fine tune playbooks for Industrial Internet of Things infrastructures. Some benefits and possibilities arising from this approach are backup and failover strategies, easy collaboration and traceability of changes.
